Canopy tours These are observation platforms mounted in the trees with horizontal traverse cables between each. The descents are vertical and able guides help to move from platform to platform with high angle equipments . As these guides are highly experienced the participants need no previous experience. As these tours are very taxing some extra preparations are required. Insect repellants are to be applied on the skin. As smoking is not possible with equipments or repellants on, one should be extra careful. The tours cannot accommodate intoxicated persons. As there are no facilities to carry belongings separately a small package on the back is preferred. The shoes are to be close-toe or strap-on sandals. The tour is not for people with heart trouble and one should be agile. Fear of heights is to be overcome and the guides are very helpful and encouraging all the way. The desire to experience forest mysteries, courage and faith in the equipment and ability to stand tall on the platform without vomiting or fainting. Here is a beautiful picture of the canopy tours
Costa Rica is notable for its whitewater river raft trips through the rain forest. Rafting is one of the best ways to spend a day. You can even opt for an overnight trip with a unite in a riverside lodge deep in the rain forest. Our favorite ride is on the Pacuare River, where you are rushed through primary and secondary forests and an impressively deep gorge. Safety-oriented professional guides provide a trip well suited for everyone from Grandma to Junior. Exciting, exhilarating, and intoxicating. Other regional rivers also offer challenging rides.
